Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
Matthew 28: 18-20
Albert Black, CEO & Owner
Albert’s secret, double-life imploded when cocaine addiction was at war with his public image as a successful businessman, loving husband and father. Those opposing worlds collided as deception became unmanageable and he found himself unable to manage these conflicting lives.
The early days of college triggered Albert’s drug habit, which only intensified in the ensuing years over career and family pressures. Despite being raised in a loving and supportive family with little exposure to drugs and alcohol, he remained enslaved for the better part of 20 years.
Finally judging his life and family in jeopardy, Albert reached out in desperation and found his solution in God-centered recovery. With faith and God’s guidance and following the 12-step book, he acquired the tools necessary to remain sober, fight addiction, and rebuild his family.
Through Recovery in the Pines, a Christian-based substance abuse treatment program in Prescott AZ, Albert now shares with others fighting substance abuse with God-given faith, hope and strength. Acknowledging his own agonizing journey and faith-centered recovery, he offers encouragement and stamina through trust in God.
Founder and president of Recovery in the Pines, Albert previously had built successful real estate and mortgage brokerages. Associated business skills fortify the treatment practice, which he manages with wife, Karen. As staff nurse at Recovery in the Pines, Karen partners with doctors, patients and families to develop comprehensive treatment plans and ensure continuity of care.
Albert and Karen parent three children ― Anthony, Benjamin, and Audrey ― with whom they enjoy spending time outdoors, participating in sports, and sharing the gifts the family has received through God’s word.
